Cleaning Rabbit Kit Eyes :: “nest box eye”

“Nest box eye” is more common in baby rabbits around the time they begin to open their eyes. It can be caused by an unclean nest or even if a litter-mate decides to urinate on them. Either way, it doesn’t need to be a big deal as long as you keep the nest clean and check the kit’s eyes to be sure none are glued shut. If an eye is stuck closed simply soak it to coax it open again.
